Municipal Profile

The municipality of Infanta is a first class municipality in the province of Quezon, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 64,818. It is situated on the northern part of Quezon Province. It is one of the 13 municipalities comprising the first congressional district.

The Local Government Unit of Infanta supports Women’s Month Celebration in March 2014, Presidential Proclamation Nos. 224 and 227, both series of 1998, and Republic Act No. 6949 s. 1990, declare month of March as National Women’s Month.

The 2014 celebration carries the theme: “Juana, ang Tatag Mo ay Tatag Natin sa Pagbangon at Pagsulong!,” aimed to pay tribute to the strong and resilient “Juana’s” who brought inspiring changes in the country, and across the globe.

LGU Infanta supports Women’s Month Celebration in March 2014

The Local Government Unit of Infanta supports Women’s Month Celebration in March 2014, Presidential Proclamation Nos. 224 and 227, both series of 1998, and Republic Act No. 6949 s. 1990, declare month of March as National Women’s Month.

DENR-FASPO visits LGU Infanta

Personnel of Foreign Assisted and Special Projects Office (FASPO) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) led by Dr. Roger Serano and Ms. Moon Yeen Manrique conducted an interview with the concerned officials and employees of the local government of Infanta, Quezon from January 13-16, 2014. Said interview is part of the documentation activity being undertaken by FASPO-DENR in relation to the Watershed Management Project implemented in the municipality through the support of World Bank.

IMTC, NCCA conduct Cultural Mapping Seminar-Workshop

The Infanta Municipal Tourism Council (IMTC) conducted a 2-day Cultural Mapping Seminar-Workshop on January 13 & 14, 2014 at Fiesta Infanta Restaurant, Brgy. Ingas, Infanta, Quezon. The conduct of said activity is in line with the continuing effort of the local government of Infanta and the IMTC to develop the tourism development plan for Infanta.

Rotary Club Infanta conducts Dental Mission

The Rotary Club of Infanta, in coordination with the Local Government of Infanta conducted Dental Mission on January 11, 2014 at Infanta Social Center. RC Infanta tapped the assistance of volunteer dentists from Sienna College.

A total of 175 individuals benefited from the said dental mission. Infanta Mayor Rodante G. Potes, Sr. was also present during the activity.

Fishermen find young sea cow onshore

Two fishermen from Brgy. Binulasan found an injured young sea cow (dugong) onshore in the morning of January 9, 2014. Said fishermen immediately contacted the local government of Infanta and reported the incident. Officers of LGU Infanta then and there contacted the DENR to seek assistance since the jurisdiction over endangered species lies with the said agency.
