Three youths from Infanta, namely Iasha Majerle Po, Dianne Rose Sibayan, and Joan Vargas, all alumni of Sibol ng Kabataang Teatro (SIKAT), a theater group of Mount Carmel School of Infanta (MCSI) inspired and guided by Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), went to the Netherlands (Holland) last March 25, 2008 (up to April 5, 2008) to join the International Community Arts Festival (ICAF) ROTTERDAM 2008 and showcase the play entitled "INFANTA"
The play depicted the flash flood that hit the town of Infanta on November 29, 2004 which reminded the world once again of the global environmental problem and the importance of protecting Mother Nature. The International Community who watched the show were all very enthusiastic to see Infanta and how we as a community were able to rise from the ruins that the calamity had left us. The three young ladies were accompanied by Mr. Jack Yabut, PETA Theater Center Director, Mr. Ernesto Cloma, Curriculum Director, Mr. Noel Cabangon, Senior Artist Member, and other PETA artists. |
